At A Helpful Hand Home Care, LLC, we know that you always want your loved ones to be safe and healthy. About Us
About Us
Our owners, James L. Adams and Bonita M. Adams started A Helpful Hand Home Care, LLC with the goal of providing affordable non-medical home care and residential assisted living services. We are starting with non-medical home care services and will soon purchase and develop sites where we will build residential assisted living homes. With the recent pandemic (COVID-19) people are seeking safer places for their loved ones in need of 24hr care other than nursing homes and big box facilities. Residential assisted living homes provide much safer care for seniors by providing a smaller environment (no more than 16 residents in a home), more security, increased health screening of visitors, increased sanitation of frequently touched surfaces, more staff per resident (1 staff member per 6 Residents) and more space to social distance. We have RN’s, LPN’s, CNA’s and/or STNA’s to care for your loved ones. All of our staff and visitors will wear facial masks and latex gloves whenever interacting with our clients or residents and will not be allowed to work with a fever or illness in an effort to keep them safe and protected. These policies will also be strictly followed when our staff visits a client’s home.

James L. Adams has been an entrepreneur, visionary, business manager, and consultant for more than 30 years. He is the owner and founder of JLA Enterprises, LLC a Business management and consulting firm which also comprises of two service oriented businesses

James is the co-founder of A Helpful Hand Home Care, LLC
(Non-Medical Home Care Service) and
Our Mother’s House, LLP
(Residential Assisted Living Homes)
which James founded along with his wife Bonita and their two daughters LaTosha and Tamika. James also co-founded JAB’s RE Investments, LLC (Commercial Real Estate Development Company) and JAB’s Transportation, LLC along with his wife Bonita. He has over 10 years of experience serving as a general manager in the restaurant industry and a practice manager for a
Medical office/clinic.
James and his wife Bonita are Certified Residential Assisted Living (RAL) specialists. In addition, James is a member of Walls Memorial Chapel AME Zion Church, where he serves as a trustee, lay president, and van driver.
He has been married to Bonita M. Adams for more than 40 years. Talking about how he fell for his spouse, James said, “It was love at first sight!” They have two grown daughters, LaTosha and Tamika, two sons-in-law, Jason and Lukasz, one 6-year-old granddaughter, Aria and one newborn grandson, Krystian James.
